Best Friends is the largest, no-kill, Animal Sanctuary in the nation.
You can join the thousands of people who come from all over the world every year to Volunteer at this special place. Just 10 min away from our home base in Kanab!
We love the Best Friends Volunteers that come to stay with us.
They are some of the kindest people in the world!
The Sanctuary is home on any given day to around 1,600 animals, many of whom have special needs. Most of the animals are dogs and cats; the rest are horses, birds, rabbits, potbellied pigs, and an assortment of other animals.
Come and Volunteer!
There are lots of ways for you to help. Volunteer shifts must be scheduled as far in advance as possible. Each animal area has a maximum number of volunteers it can accommodate during each shift. To get started, please visit volunteers.bestfriends.org or contact the Sanctuary Volunteer Department at firstname.lastname@example.org or 435-644-2001, ext. 4119.
Just One word of warning if you come to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary though…. They let you adopt……. Just sayin’, you might need to plan on a little extra space goin’ home.
