Best Friends is the largest, no-kill, Animal Sanctuary in the nation. Join the thousands of people who come from all over the world every year to Volunteer with their roughly 1,600 Sanctuary animals.
The Sanctuary is home on any given day to around 1,600 animals, many of whom have special needs. Most of the animals are dogs and cats; the rest are horses, birds, rabbits, potbellied pigs, and an assortment of other animals.
There are lots of ways to help. Volunteer shifts must be scheduled as far in advance as possible. Each animal area has a maximum number of volunteers it can accommodate during each shift. To get started, please visit volunteers.bestfriends.org or contact the Sanctuary Volunteer Department at firstname.lastname@example.org or 435-644-2001, ext. 4119.
